My First Year Blogging

I’ve been blogging my journey since around 2010, but more seriously from about June/July 2013 – indicating that a full year has now past and I’ve written something like 130 posts since then!

I have learned so many things during this time and I wanted to share some of that knowledge with you. I hope my you can learn lot of things from my one year experience of blogging.

So, without further excitement – I give you….

1. Blogging Success is A Marathon, Not a Sprint

You can expect result in days. You have to give your best, and then you can expect result with the time being. First five or six months are always crucial for new blogger but you shouldn’t surrender. You have to do work with consistency, focus on your blog, try to share informative article and keep engaging your readers.

2. Your Social Presence is Must

As you know social media playing very important role in SEO, so you can’t miss power of social media. You should use popular social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and many others. It will help you to increase number of your regular readers. If you were ignoring social media, then you should join all social media channel right now, create attractive profile, and build niche related community over there.

3. Build Relationships

Building relationship is with other bloggers or related community is very essential. No doubt social channels are most suitable platforms to build better relations with other bloggers. Simply you can add them in your friend list, in your Circle, or follow them. After that you can take better advice from them as well. So try to make your online presence.

4. Stay Organized

Majority of bloggers fail due to this mistake. If you desire to become a well known blogger, then try to manage things effectively. Mean when, where, what you have to do. Time management is a key to success, if you can manage your time, then you are a successful blogger, but if you fail to do this, then you can’t achieve your target.

5. Quality Content Is The Key To Success

May be you are annoyed with this word now, but to achieve success, write quality and informative articles. Write for your readers instead of search engine. Do proper research about your topic before going to write, collect all material related to topic and then write in your own words. Your article should be in heading and sub headings. Attractive images are still useful to get the attention of the reader.

6. Copying Is A Bad Karma

Copying articles from other websites is just time wastage nothing more. You can get benefit for short time, but you can’t run for a long time. Now we are in 2014 and now Google is much advance as compare to 2000 or 2001. Now Google has many algorithms to hit these types of websites. So, if you are also doing this mistake, then you are also wasting your time nothing more.

7. Helping Helps

If you have any kind of skill, then you should help others. It will help you to increase your popularity and better image in the eye of your reader. No doubt it will waste your precious time, but will increase your reputation as well. So I’ll recommend you that if you want success, then you should apply this suggestions.

8. Failed Attempts Are Just Some Funny Stories For The Future

Ahh ! In my blogging carrer, I faced lot of obstacles. I was not good in SEO, I was not good in WordPress and I was not good in writing. So, man learn from his mistakes and these mistakes can give you a lesion and you will never repeat it. At start, every blogger struggle, but as I mentioned above that try to find best solution for that instead you surrender it.

9. SEO is an Essential Part of Blogging

Without SEO skills, blogging is nothing. If you want to do blogging, then I will suggest you that lean SEO, how to do SEO and how to implement SEO techniques on you blog or website. Everyone can do blogging, but everyone can’t achieve success.

10. There will be Haters.

Not that I have experienced much of this yet (to my face) – but they are always around. Be yourself, haters are going to hate-simply because they have hate in their heart. Or they are angry about other things in their lives…or maybe they just really don’t like you. That is okay!
Many people will discourage you even your own family members can be. Don’t pay attention toward them, your success will be slap on their face.

These are some points that I have noticed as a blogger. So I hope you can learn may things if you want. If you want to add something, please must share in comments.
Don’t miss to share with your friends and others. Keep enjoying your blogging journey 🙂
